Day 16, 5/12 We went from Pruth Bay to Shearwater resort at Bella Bella about 41 miles. We left a different way than we used to get there and had to deal with the ocean swell for 45 minutes or so. We probably won’t use the same path when we come back down. We fueled up when we got to Shearwater 228 gallons or 866 liters. Got tied up to the dock dumped some garbage and went out for dinner and a few drinks.

Day 16-17, 5/13-5/14: We stayed at Shearwater the weekend and got some chores done like washing the boat and laundry. We had a kicked back day Sunday and got a few groceries and had a good Mother’s Day dinner last night. Prawn Linguini.

Day 18, 5/15: We left Shearwater at 7:30 to catch Percevale Narrows at slack. Once through the narrows, we were going to arrive so early at our planned anchorage we decided to keep going so we are at Windy Bay tonight. Once passing Rescue Bay our planned anchorage. We started seeing water falls one after another. We are into very high mountains and very deep water within Mathieson Channel. The depth finder hardly registered a depth today because it was too deep.  It is usually good to 1100-1200’. If you don’t like waterfalls stop here!

  1. This is really making me wish I wasn't still a working stiff in the office. Those waterfall pictures are unbelievable.
