Day 30-31, 5/27-5/28: We spent three days in Thoms Place, we planned two nights but the wind didn’t look great so we stayed another day. Both Saturday and Sunday were wet. I tried crabbing  but no love, only one small one before I moved the trap due to more boats coming into anchor. A lot of the cruisers are making me feel inadequate. The two boats that came in were 65-70’ range and there are bigger boats in the Wrangell Harbor. Sunday was like .75 inches no venturing out. We were able to see the Indy 500.

Day 32-34, 5/29-5/31: WET, we got to Wrangell on Memorial Day, we walked the mile to town to find most places closed except for a bar. We had one choice for lunch and that was a hot dog. After a dog and a drink back to the boat. The next morning, I walked to the harbor office to check-in and then back to the boat to watch it rain. Yesterday we got to the Wrangell Museum, totem park (One city lot with 3 totems) and walked around town before having a Halibut lunch. Guess what, it started raining as we were leaving lunch, so we ducked into the same bar we were at Monday until the down pour was done. A guy just can’t stay dry in a rain forest. Lots of commercial boat traffic in the harbor. As I am writing, we are watching one of the smallest commercial boats 26-30’ off loading 28 Halibut at the seafood place. We will likely be here today and tomorrow as well.

Wrangell looks like a wild and wholly place on the water and in the town.
Love the museum guards and all the eagles.
    Drive safe❤
