Day 45, 6/13: Last night we were in Tracy Arm Cove in the same spot as the night before. Two brown bears came out of the woods to the beach across the anchorage. They stayed in the area most of evening but they were a long way off. After a while a third bear came out of the woods behind the boat. He stayed a while and sauntered back to the woods.

Today we set off to Ford’s Terror up Endicott Arm. The entry to FT needs to be timed with high slack otherwise the entrance is impassable. We were a little early so we watched as the current got to be less and smooth out. We went through and we all were surprised how easy it was to get it. The views are breath taking with the high rock walls and waterfalls. Tomorrow we will go to see the Dawes Glacier after we wait for high slack at 11:20ish to exit Ford’s Terror and then a long ride to Taku Harbor about 20 miles south of Juneau.
